So... today at work (I work at a buffet restaurant as a cashier), we had to call an ambulance for a customer who has diabetes and was having heart problems.... I just was informed that while the paramedics were trying to help him at the table he was sitting at...he died... some humor, or pretty, or anything would be appreciated right now.Love,

I don't have any of that unfortunately but I did just have a similar situation. I work at a gas station by myself and a woman and her elderly mother came in because they had a flat tire. While she was messing around inside the air machine turned off which ya know not my fault its on a 2 minute timer. So she's in there trying to get a refund and whatever. So finally I jus give it to her cause I don't have time to argue with her. Well she went back outside to try and air it up again. And barely made it to her car before she came in again yelling call 911 my moms having a heart attack. I don't know what happened to her after the ambulance arrived but I feel like if I hadn't kept her there she would've had it driving or something so in a way I feel like I gave her at least the best outcome I could've. So don't feel bad try and think of it like you did what you could.Wolfgang Pride ID 554

This is true, Wolfgang, and I'm akey you had to deal with something similar. Though, I know it's not totally their fault, I partially blame the servers working. All of them have working cell phones, and apparently never called 911 and got mad that those of us who had NO clue something was severely wrong hadn't yet called. There were FOUR servers, and they were all standing over him complaining that the cashiers hadn't yet called 911. It wasn't until 20 minutes AFTER the situation was noticed by them that 911 was finally called (because the other cashier was finally alerted).Love,

I had a brush with EMTs yesterday too, but all is well now.
So I'll share my current squeal with you all to bring up the mood. I went to get mail today and got something in my name. I wasn't expecting anything so I brought it home to open. Y'all! My hunny found my all time favorite movie on blueray and got it for me for the holidays. I can't wait till he wakes up for work to thank him. ;) :x45120 -
We just were given permission from the builder to start moving into our new house from the 22nd. It’s not finished and probably won’t be completely done til February, but we can stop paying rent by the end of the year! We are super excited, this has been more than a year of planning and dreaming and watch it come to life. We will have ducted air conditioning (oh my god, my last Queensland December without AC!), the kitchen of my dreams, a huge screened in verandah for outdoor entertaining….I cannot wait to get settled in! And our very last ever move…or at least the last one we will have to do the packing for! Next one will be to a nursing home or out in a pine box!

@Cheers, that's great news! I'd love to move to AUS from America, but that takes money. But my boyfriend lives there, and I'd love being near (or with; even better) him to help him more and just to be with him. But again, that takes money, and I don't make much here. But I can dream anyway. You should share pictures of your home, if possible.Love,

My twin granddaughters are almost 2 and they adore music and dancing already. Their current favorite jam is Fancy Like by Walker Hayes. It is such fun to watch them dance, they roll their shoulders and shake their hips to the song. Brooke will see someone on their phone and she will point at the phone and say Applebee's, play Applebee's.
I hope that made you smile a little, death is never easy to deal with and I'm sorrow you went through your experience. Sending ((((hugs)))) -
@Beadingterri, I can just imagine two little munchkins dancing to that song. While I personally am not a huge fan of country music, nor that song, I admit... I'd do anything to watch those lil one's dancing to it. Babies are awesome. Then they get older and start testing your patience. =)) But yeah, I like most kids, so nothing bad meant towards them here.
And thank you. It honestly wouldn't have bothered me as much, had I not been working that shift, but I was and normally deaths haven't been a horrible thing to me. Like... I've attended many funerals (and pet euthanasias), and the only one I cried for right then and there was my great grandmother's. But yesterday (which I also blame some of my mental health problems as well (not depression and such, but that's another subject) when I got home and my family went to bed, I just couldn't help but do anything but cry for the longest. I didn't know that man, no, but the whole situation was too much for my crazy brain to handle.Love,
