This is one of my 2nd generation mares out of my own foundation stock horses - curious that bred by shows Hajinc University. Is this because I merged her with a full sibling so she would be chimera/brindle?

Yes, merging to make them chimeric changes their bred by status to the university, because technically the university created the brindle.Love,
