Hi!

I used to play this game a while ago but I stopped and forgot my login. So now I'm back with a new account and new horses. As far as my life with horses goes, I've ridden horses for over 15 years and have always had a fascination with horse genetics. So this game is definitely the best of both worlds. I'm still learning the mechanics of this game but I'm hoping to get much better at it in the coming months :)

I think it was back when the game first started. if i understand correctly this is hunt and jump 2, when i played it was still og HAJ

Yep, we have 3 servers now HJ1/Bluegrass, HJ2/Forest, and HJ3/Mesa. There used to be a western version of the game, but it has since passed on to the big Super Yum Yum factory in the sky!

Hi!

A friend of mine told me to try this game so here I am and I am slowly figuring things out.
I have no idea what I'll try to breed yet, but I'm sure I'll come up with an idea soon enough.

I'm not exactly new as I have been playing original HAJ for over a decade. I did start playing on this server when it started, but gave up because I couldn't keep up with the breeding year being one month! Of course, that was when breeding season used to be two months long on the regular game. When Mesa started a couple of years ago I started playing that because I thought it would be fun to start on a brand new server where we were all 'new', and now I've decided to fill the gap by starting a stable on Forest.

I'm taking an unusual approach here by starting off with a very small stable of show horses until I have enough IVs to buy a Basic upgrade and then go from there. I just know that I'll get sucked into getting a Premium upgrade at some point, just like on the other two servers. :)

I’m new and was wondering. Is the best way to make money by just having a lot of show horses ? And what amount of money should I have at all times ?

Welcome! So glad you're here! The amount of money will change as your barn grows, but I would say something along the lines of two or three nights worth of nightly income at the least? Maybe a week's worth? You'll really just have to play around with it and see how fast you go through your funds, lol!

And yes, a dedicated show herd is definitely the best way to make money long term! But while you're new, you can also bring in a fair income by selling pointed creates - horses that you make while your total held points are less than 20k will be created with a random number of points. Since only small barns can make them, there's a fair demand among the bigger barns, and you can usually get a fair price for them.

You can try asking for a price roughly just under the "current lifetime payout" number, post in the forum, and adjust your prices based on how fast they sell over the next few weeks. Any that come out with a lower number of points or don't sell fast enough you can chuck in auction to at least get the create price back from them.

Ok, so I don't know what percentage ranges the foundations are, but let's say a non rank special created foundation can have between 50-0 breeding ability percentage points (You can continue increasing this amount in descendants via breeding until you reach 100, so foundations cannot reach 100) Now Ammit would have to correct with the right percentages if she wanted to, but if creates could be anywhere in this 50-0% range, then all non exceptional producers would be 50%. Then the exceptional producers would be an extra 5% being 55% and better breeders than all other foundations created otherwise.

Yep! Funny enough, for the actual percentage numbers, the herd helper says a "perfect foundation" is "100% breeding ability", so the "percentages" aren't actually real percentages and instead it seems to reference some other form of hidden number.

Related to that, a perfect foundation with a single 1% boost becomes B/red papered, while a clone and double boost of 5% (or an exceptionally perfect/exceptional producer with a single 5% boost) becomes A/blue, so we also know that while yellow papering is under 100% up to an even 100%, B/red should run from 101%-109%, and A/blue should start at 110% and go up to whatever point it is that's star/gold (we don't know for sure but I'd guess probably 120 ish or so).

Hello new account here. I haven't played this game in a few years. I started playing again because i have honestly missed playing & this has really helped me with my anxiety. All the new colors for the horses is mind blowing. I love it. I am still finding my way around the game, i surprise myself every time I find out i can do something on here. Lol I'm always looking for new friends & if anyone has an interest like mine for brindle horses we can definitely talk. Thank you in advance for reading this. :)
