GMT Lab - Genes not able to be added?
  • So based on what I read recently that happened to someone else, even if the gene is able to be added in the lab you can't add it unless it is also for sale in the RGS? Just trying to add Kit M or DP to my new foundation stud yearling and having no luck. Is this correct or am I doing something wrong?

  • No, KIT M and Dp is always in the lab. If its a foundation you should be able to add it. What is happening when you try? And is the horse unbred and color tested? If you post a link it is easier to help :)

  • It is a yearling foundation. First it tells me "Your horse has the - allele for this Dense Pheomelanin gene" then when I click to add it using my 5 tokens it says. "Could not edit horse. An error has occurred."

  • Please post a link to the horse. Thanks. :)

ETA: It shows me you have one token, not 5.

  • As someone who plays with the GMT lab a lot, I get that message all the time for one simple reason... I went on a gene spree and don't have enough GMTs left to buy whatever gene I clicked. :D

If that's not the case, then maybe the horse is glitched? I know that sometimes a create doesn't work exactly right and the gene codes get a little scrambled. I used to have a plain chestnut XShow mare with no genes at all. lol Posting the horse probably would help people help you figure it out, though. :)

  • LOL Ignore me. While I was typing (and watching a video) Ammit replied with the answer.

  • Whoops, Ammit is correct. I did not calculate the IV to GMT ratio correctly. I thought I had 40 tokens but only had 40 ivs :D
Thank you for helping me clear that up, user error strikes again.
