HAPPY 4TH OF JULY!

This year is Americas 245th birthday!

To celebrate we are going to give someone 245 GMT Gene Modification Tokens to use as you please.

Pick up to 4 of your foundation horses, or create new ones, and be sure that they have been Gene Tested. Using the GMT lab genes, pretend you have 245 GMTs to spend to make it/them perfect for your barn.

You must show how you would use EXACTLY 245 tokens

imageimage
Whomever comes up with the coolest use for the 245 GMTs total will WIN 245 GMTs
2nd place will win 100 GMTs
3rd place will win 50 GMTs

HOW TO ENTER

Stable name <-VERY IMPORTANT!
ID number <- ALSO VERY IMPORTANT
Post a picture link to your starting horse(s)

Give a brief description of how you want the finished horse to look and why, and then list the genes you would use to make the current horse(s) meet your goal, the cost of each gene, then the total for that horse

image
This game will run for 1 week starting today (Sunday, July 4th)

Example:

Stable name: Confluence Stables

Stable ID: 1998
image

I would make this horse a mini appaloosa because I love to see how varnish changes the look of the horse over the years and the minis are so cute!
LP costs 1 token
LP costs 1 token
H costs 5 tokens
A costs 25 tokens
sa costs 20 tokens
SWM costs 15 tokens
Total for this horse 46 Tokens

Assuming we can take advantage of the special genes on sale in the lab, I'd be working on this horse. Yule Logs are my favorite RS and are special to me since I make memorial horses out of them. I've wanted to make a Yule Log that can be a stud to several of my lines, combining different fantasy genes that I really like to see what sort of babies would be thrown and how colorful of a line could be created. I also have an idea I'm playing with of a memorial horse line, but not sure that would ever actually happen.

image
F1 BR Bent Consortium

I'd start off by making both DNA sets hom onyx: 60 GMT
One DNA set would be hom Kit M: 30 GMT
One DNA set would be made leopard Appaloosa: 3 GMT
Both DNA sets would be hom KP: 20 GMT
One DNA set would be hom PBP: 40 GMT
Both DNA sets would be hom satin: 40 GMT
One DNA set would be hom WT: 50 GMT
One DNA set would have Rabicano removed: 1 GMT
Finally, she would be made a stud: 1 GMT

There. 245 GMT project to make a one stop shop stud for several of my lines.
• Stable Name: FallenShadows714
Stable ID: 42413

I would make my matching set of mushroom foundations. I gave up my mushroom line because it wasn’t going how I had hoped, and lost my original foundation stud. Now I have a better direction for it.

The idea is to have sooty buckskins, with the only pigment modifiers being mushroom, sooty plus, Pangere plus, and one copy of cream. I found too many pigment modifiers makes the body too light to show the mushroom, which was why I ended my original line. The only “chrome” I want is KitM and Tobiano, with a satin glitz and KP2 to soften the edges. I don’t want fantasy genes in this line, I have a huge fantasy herd already and I want this to be simple and elegant.

I would use 115 GMTs to finish this guy
Hom sooty plus - 40 GMTs
Het KitM - 15 GMTs
Hom KP2 - 20 GMTs
Hom satin - 40 GMTs

Hom Sooty plus - 40 GMTs
Het KitM - 15 GMTs

I want to bring some of my favorites more into one project, so this guy would be combining dun/DFP, S+/P+, appy spot size/halo on a tiny pony. My goal is to get all my favorite realistic genes on one stud to bring down the size on my herd.

This guy would get:
2 copies of DFP1 - 50
2 copies of DFP2 - 60
- one of each on each DNA sequence.
4 copies of Sooty+ - 80

I would love to take my gorgeous Bronze Age mare and make her into the perfect, shiniest, dappliest golden horse possible, taking advantage of her chimerism to create two slightly different shades of gold. I would add a dash of axiom for some sparkle, gp for extra beauty, and finish her off with TE2 to complete the look! Elegant and beautiful!

My reasoning is because I have this guy as one of my desktop backgrounds and I could sit and stare at him for hours rather get my work done!
image

In real life I don't come across many pearl or champagne horses, but I do get sooty buckskins (and also sometimes palominos) in and I adore how they shine like gold! A shiny golden champagne or pearl horse would be a dream!

When I created this bronze age girl from the special herd helpers in June, it inspired me to create the golden horses in the game that I love in life and I completely changed my breeding project overnight. lol

Het onyx - 15

Het ND1 - 2
Het GP - 5

Total: 80 GMT

Then I'd merge the two horses together for a chimeric - 10GMTs

I want this boy (both horses will be merged), to have a lot of fantasy genes for my fantasy herd. He will be one of my main fantasy stallions. I am wanting him to have a lot of the fantasy genes I don't have (that is mostly the Axioms, and that is why this sale is perfect for me). I want him to be chimeric in the end as I love that look and want him to be able to have all the genes I want. The first horse linked is a clone of my first thunderstruck boy, and is perfect for my lines now, so merging him with another perfect stallion will be even better.

• Okay, i see now i was totally misreading the difference between limited and closed genes. I thought all the limited AND closed genes were fantasy genes so i was severely limiting myself.

I'll need to come back to this later on. I'll edit my original post so i don't keep taking up more space. X_X

Editing to add that my home internet is down so i can't do anything with this until that gets fixed. If it's before end of contest, I'll re-enter with fewer horses. If not, I'll just take the L. ♡

I would want to make a replacement stallion for my Graveyard line I started in 2018. I used to use a freaky Friday base but that is a C papered base, so now instead I would just use an experf as my replacement. I still want all the genes to be open so anyone could buy straws.
So to summarize, I would use the 245 to create another replacement and better version of graveyard.
Here is a link to graveyard and one of his previous replacements

This girl would be my very first project on this server and I had a ton of fun dreaming her up. She will eventually become a "he" and will become "Two-Face" and will be a combination of my Mesa and Bluegrass breeding goals along with a few crazy additions. I did indeed flip a coin to decide on the fate of some of these genes. (If you know, you know...)

Primary strand will be the "light" side, a liver chestnut pearl and the secondary strand will be the "dark" side, ERROR: UNKOWN ANOMALY with lots of hidden genes.

Mare > Stallion - 1

Primary Strand
Change E to e - 1

Het Kit M - 15
Het DP - 5

If I had 245 GMTs I would GMT these girls to fit my current breeding goals. Chinchilla, Satin with Kit M, plus a bit of extra pizzaz.

Restless Waters would be my more extensive GMT prodject with hom chinchilla, satin and DFP2. And Het for Kit M and W8. I have been trying to get DFP2 into my herds and have been struggling to have enough foals that meet my breeding requirements and get the gene.
Chin x 2 = 20
DFP2 x 2 = 60
Satin x 2 = 40
kit M x 1 = 15
w8 x 1 = 5

Total 140

Restless Waters

Sea Maiden would be less of a prodject but would have one new gene for me. She would be hom chinchilla, satin. And het for kit M, W8, and wrong warp. Wrong Warp has been a gene I have been wanting to get for awhile, but have never just taken the jump.
Chin x 2 = 20
Wrong warp x 1 = 25
Satin x 2 = 40
kit M x 1 = 15
w8 x 1 = 5
