Lined Chimera

I had just read something recently talking about it’s time consuming/ difficult to breed for Lined Chimeras and I just went huh that’s a thing and went on with my day because I was doing other things.
It so happened that it refreshed in my brain as I was checking fresh foals and saw my very own Lined Chimera- AP Clean Song G2 LinedChi
then I decided to breed the rest of my foundie Chimeras to try for more and got a few. Then it turns out I already had a few, but just didn’t realize it
I just wanted to make a post with my six little LChi babes as I’ve abbreviated it for myself, I also wondered how many people who’ve been doing this.

I’ve been breeding chimeras on the side for quite a while.
Since chimera had the overhaul I’ve been more dedicated to it :)

I have a little lined chimera herd too! I have lined chimera studs in 2, 3 and 4 generation, if you guys want straws let me know. I got an altered one randomly out of my bootstrap herd once, which was pretty cool.

Since I only breed chimera foundations (almost 600 of them) I usually end up with a few second generation chimera babies each season.
It was never my plan to specifically breed for lined chimeras but I absolutely love when they pop up! :x

I did get a 3g colt who passed SBA. I just have to test him against my benchmark. If he doesn’t measure up then I’ll GMT him to a mare.
