Dramatic Onyx

Hello! Can anyone tell me what is causing this onyx pattern to be so dramatic? Or is it just the homSB2 doing it?breeding Dark Drafts with lots of extras

I -think- it's a combination of DFP1 making the Onyx darker(?) or more prominent, and sb2 combined with KP2. Really cool looking :xID 108

Thank you! His dam has panagre plus so a first I thought it was that until he didn't get that gene!breeding Dark Drafts with lots of extras

It’s also the fact that he got all the darkening genes his parents have (Hom DP, hom sooty) and few of the genes that wash out color (his dad is Dun without onyx which lightens his liver/brown, and his mum is pseudopearl, where he just got the het Snowdrop which doesn’t do anything much by itself). Quad dark onyx is super dramatic. I have a fair bit of quad dark bay onyx and they’re stunning.
