So as the title implies I've have an unexpected gene pop up mainly in my blue roans, but also in my grullo pasture. That gene would be KP, getting foal hom KP I never expected this to happen but I'm loving how my blue roan foals look with it that it shows through on. You can only see it on these two but i love how it looks, y'all show what your Hom KP babies look like

KP runs in DS lines which if you scroll back to the beginning of your pedigrees on those two you'll find a lot of DS so expect more KP to be hiding in your herds. KP does have to be hom and have kit mutations to express and be registrable. Congrats on the lovely surprise of learning you have it in some of your lines!

As you can see, some it's obvious on, some you have no clue are KP, some just have little diluted clouds and some have huge clouds. KP clouds can come in different sizes and shapes, some look like pseudo roans whitout having any roan at all.

they're all so pretty! and I love this surprise, I'm expecting it alot more with blue roans cause alot of my girls and my two studs are het KP ^.^

Mine is just coming up from lines back in my roans and its know starting pop up in my grullo herd
