I have 6 empty, 120 stall barns that are specifically marked as show barns. 5 of those were entered on Friday, the total shown was 6.4m HBs as expected payout when I checked the auction total after adding all of those in. If I didn’t enter those horses, then where did 600 horses go?

Any chance you have links or IDs to any of those horses? Even one we can look at?

It definitely ran normally today. I have over 8500 sales records. It is conceivable so many people dumped horses from the pastures that it caused issues. Though the way our system is set up that is extremely unlikely. I can look more into it tomorrow.

I want to be clear that I am not saying there was not an issue, but the most likely explanation right now is that there was some confusion. That's because our system works by selecting each auction horse one by one. Then it moves the horse, moves the money, records all the transactions (in four different locations), then finally finalizes the sale. It is possible that there might be an issue with one horse doing this. But it is statically impossible that it did this for hundreds of your horses, and only your horses when it worked flawlessly 8500 times yesterday. It running the update to move your horse but not any of the 10 other updates involved for each sale, hundreds of times is as I said is statistically impossible.

Again I am not saying it did not happen but I need to exhaust the more likely explanations first.

I will point out you have almost 500 10-year-old show horses. Last month you sold 620 show horses at auction, you have 500 10-year-olds, 250 9-year-olds, 200 8-year-olds. From your numbers, it does not look like you have sold off a large mass of show horses this month but instead, have the number you should have given how your numbers are going.

I would bet if you entered your 10-year-olds they would clock in right about 6.4 million. I am guessing you did enter them but the entries did not go through for some reason and they are still in your account.

I am seeing 600 auctions sell back records this morning at 7,980,580 hbs. Looks like the right number. It really looks like they just never made it through the auction last time. :)
