I have certainly never gotten this many chimeras before! A full dozen! I might do a few more lab breedings later in the season though, if I get the time. Nesting has been hitting me pretty hard as my due date is getting closer, but my health has not been permitting too much work, so I have had a lot of time to play lately.

Only one that is of good enough quality though, and one that I might boost, or she will be snipped.

This first one I almost regret not boosting. He was spared by SBA, but is only AGA, so I gelded him without even looking too close, and he got all the goodies!

This one I might boost, as she got through SBA, but is only AGA. I will most likely end up snipping her though, as I dont like spending money on boosts.

Wow! That is a lot of Chimeras! I have only ever gotten one not even on this account! I hope you get some more that don't get snipped. Wow! I love that Ice 20 one and that Wrong Warp one!

I managed to get 3 from 1 stud this season, the only 3 I've gotten so far lol, and was shocked to see that. I'd never dream of a dozen in one season! Usually my odds are about 1 every other month.

Here is to hoping I get lucky with my pasture breedings and get some chimeras too! They are so fun and I am loving the fact that they seem to be much more common than they used to be.

That first one is stunning! Shame she got the snip. I love those very 'muddy' looking chimeras (if that makes sense...) which is why 2 sparks would be my second favorite of your new babies. Congrats again on all the pretty babies!

@Ellesmere022 No roughly about it, I bred exactly 1249 foals this year. But most of them were made in the lab, and I think the chances are higher in the lab. Only the top one in this post was bred in pasture, all the others were lab breedings :)

She upped the AI breeding to be about half the pasture bonus

I bred roughly 1500 foals, the vast majority of them from pasture. I don't think I have many mares with less than full bonus; maybe some of the 4 year olds.

They are all so beautiful! If you decide to sell the snipped ones, I'll happily take them to live forever in my show herd. But I'm sure you're keeping them for that (I would anyway)!

This is the chimera I got this month. I breed specifically for chocolate palominos and liver chestnuts, so she's perfect!
