None of my auction bids went through
-
Hi
Yesterday, I had bid on well over 150 horses in the auctions. I had sorted by points for under 10's and bid up to horse number 150. (I had just sent a bunch of my older horses off so was replacing them) I then also did my usual searches for certain RS and lined horses etc and bid on a bunch more. I logged in today and found my primary barn completely empty. I know a few I was outbid on but most just didn't go through. There were only 154ish horses sold in auctions in total yesterday so not many of mine were even outbid.
I had over 3million hbs worth of my own horses entered in the auctions. I had about 600k sat in my account when I entered everything. I then went and did all my bids which I estimate would have been total about 500k. My brain says that the 3 million I'm earning is well enough to cover my auction bill. I then took a trip to foundation rescue and spent the 600k there. Upon logging out last night I did admittedly only have 3hbs in my account.
I was always under the impression that you can only bid on horses up to the value of the hbs in your account at that moment. Once the bids have been placed, if you win the money will be taken regardless (and sent you into overdraft in very rare cases). Am I wrong?
Would really like this clarified as now I seem to have wasted hours yesterday trawling the auctions.

It doesn't work that way. The auction runs in order. You don't get all the cash from selling before you spend all the cash from buying. Sounds like you did not have enough money for your bids and it rejected them. You have to have the cash on hand when the auction ends.Need to contact me? Read this first. Follow-up question if I may, because I'm curious if the high bidder doesn't have the funds for the horses and there had been another bid placed - does it default to that bidder then or does the horse 'poof' from existence?ID: 40723

It will go to the next lower bidder. Horses never poof. The auction bidder is always the lowest bidder.Need to contact me? Read this first. Only send me a PM for PayPal issues or if I ask you to. Otherwise, make a forum post. You will get a better faster answer by making a post.
