I know with gift exchange going on at the moment we are able to transfer gene licenses to our giftee thru the gift exchange page.
Just wondering if I could buy a foundation horse for myself that has closed genes I don't own yet, so long as the seller was okay with price and license transfer. I know that's not exactly how it's supposed to be done, I just saw a stud needing a home and I know I would make good use of him if I could lol.

Nope. You can not purchase a horse with a gene you do not own. The seller would have to sell to your recipient directly.

Okay, thanks! Didn't figure it would work that way, but figured I'd ask to be sure lol. If you never ask, the answer is always no.
