Can someone explain this to me? I checked and this guys cloning fee was 226 IVs last month (I didn't clone him then since I planned on cloning him today) today I go to clone him and it is now 385 IVS to clone him? Did it seriously jump up 159 IVS because he is a year older?

Looked at all 5 of the 17 year olds that I was going to clone today that according to the number IVS I wrote down last month when I checked in the lab what their fees would be it should have taken a total of 731 IVS and across the 5 they've all gone up by at least 100 IVS from last month to this month in cost to clone. None of them have been cloned yet and no changes were made to their genes since I checked the cost in the cloning lab. Is this a normal increase with their age? If so it would be really nice to have it noted in the FAQS or the cloning lab itself that cost to clone increases each year they age.

Just for clarification I rechecked a couple others that I priced out the cloning for last month (so as to save enough IVS this season to clone in November) and none of them changed in cloning costs except the ones who turned 17 today and they all jumped up by about 100 IVS in cost.

I have a stallion I wanted to save up to clone and previously when I checked last month it cost around 900 Ivs but I just checked again and it say 1632 ivs! I was hoping I would be able to save enough and get to 900 before he passed but I definitely won’t be able to now.

There was a bug where only the SIRE side LE genes were being counted. However lined horses are much cheaper to clone and I fixed an issue with varnish which reduced the prices on many horses as well. If you have a horse positively loaded with pricey LG genes it is going to be an expensive clone.

The horse above is the only one linked too so the only one I can comment on.

You are paying for:
S+ (20 gmt)
TE2/TE1 (8 GMT)
DP/DP (10 GMT)
sa/sa (40 GMT)
W10/W8 (10 GMT)
snow/snow (20 GMT)
gp/gp (10 GMT)
KP/KP(10 GMT)

This is a 138 GMT horse. It should cost you 17,250,000 Hbs to create. Instead, it only costs 4,812,500. That is less than a third of the proper create price. That is a MASSIVE price discount. Cloning is already a system to duplicate hyper-expensive LE foundations on the cheap. That price is completely reasonable for the cost of the horse you are trying to clone. Never mind the fact that you are getting a free 5% boost on it as well. I consider that to be an exceptionally good deal for what you are getting.

Basically, if cloning was something you can regularly afford to do, particularly when we are talking about a horse that fancy, then that means it would problematically underpriced and damaging to the game's gene economy. Getting a copy of that horse at 72% less than the original price is a hell of a generous deal.

That's all I needed to know, that it was the patch that made them go up because they were inaccurately priced previously (such as you saying it was only accounting for one side of the genes leading to inaccurate price) and that the price didn't just go up cause they got older as it appeared to be only my 17 year old pixels that increased in clone price which is why I was confused and worried that that meant I needed to plan for the other pixels I want to clone to potentially jump cloning prices as they aged up. It being the patch means this should be the only time I see a jump in cloning prices so long as I haven't made any gene/stat changes since pricing it.

Yup, nothing at all to do with the age. The prices won't change due to that.

This must be the reason I was able to clone 2 horses on the Blue Grass server for only 1 IV each! Last month I experimented and made my very first clones, one was an Ex Perf with het Snowflake and Het Sooty Plus, and the other was a Hom Sooty Het DP Rhythm of Four filly. The prices are absolutely nothing like that now. Is there anything I need to do to make that right, since I didn't pay what I was supposed to?
