Just curious , but where is everyone from? Like what country /state is everyone in . Surely it can’t just be the US :’)

I’m from Scotland , to be precise , Edinburgh. so it’s a really busy place, but it’s great to have a city at one end and a whole other place in the highlands and outer Hebrides ! So scenic and the weather changes every minute! Sometimes it’s four seasons in one day :’D

But I've lived in Iowa, Minnesota, Missouri, California, and Texas.

Scotland is the one place we missed when we were in Europe for the summer in 2018. Our plans ended up falling through, and because of the virus this year we didn't get to go back. We really hope to make it back in the next couple of years. I've always wanted to see Edinburgh! My husband loves it there! (He's from England, don't hold it against him!) I hope to move over there someday, but I'm not sure if it will happen. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. :)

I live in Indiana most of the year but we have started the long process of moving to Bulgaria. I try to be there at least 2 months our of the year 3 if I can be. Will be a good 10+ years before we fully move though.

Wow, that’s so cool, it’s amazing it see where everyone is from!
@ChevalStables, I’d definitely recommended Edinburgh but Highly recommend the top end of Scotland like Inverness and Skye, also all the isles if you can!

@Ammit, Bulgaria is such a stunning place, very lucky! :)

@Mystic rose we nearly rented a cabin in Inverness for a week! I am a little obsessed with castles and the history of Scotland and England. (I may have made my family visit 20+ castles while we were there. I have a problem.)

Cheval, I'm with you! We went to Wales, though, to see the castles. Scotland is next on my list. I was there many years ago for a conference, and just LOVED it! I dream of starting in Edinburgh and heading up to the Orkney Islands then around to Glasgow.

My wife, however, is a fan of vacation spots like Jamaica and Hawaii, not the rainy cooler parts of the planet!

@ConfluenceFarms that sounds like an amazing trip! I love the Caribbean as well as the cool rainy places. We take a cruise for our anniversary every year since we are in a port city or can drive a short distance to another. We are itching to see other areas though. You can only see the one day stops in the Caribbean so many times, but we save the long stays for Europe to visit family and friends. (Though Japan is on our list for a visit in the very near future.)

@Xceptional I knew I liked you! I lived in Iowa City for five years while I worked at the University doing research. :) Go Hawks!

@Lallyhop I've always wanted to visit Idaho. I hear it's beautiful!

@SandycreekFarm Pennsylvania and Upstate New York are so gorgeous! The colors in the fall. ❤️

@SpryOfJune what part of Brisneyland is your bf from/in? We are currently in the Ascot area (around the thoroughbred tracks) but have live on the bayside, in Ipswich, out at Gatton and in the Indro area. Next year we are building a house up near Sandgate and I am soooo excited to get back close to the bay for my husband, who is a total water baby.

@Cheers, all I know is what he's told me, which is Queensland, Brisbane, Ipswich, The Bluff. No, he hasn't lived like... Each of those places, but like where he lives is like... The Bluff (that might be the mountains or something he lives by/on) are in Ipswich, which is in Brisbane, which is in Queensland. I guess that's how it works? Lol. I'm not from there, and haven't been there... Despite the heat, I'd love to move there. One, because... He's there. Two, because of the pictures he's sent me of the lands and such.

Oh wow I know exactly where that is! Ipswich is technically just west of Brisbane with its own city council. And he’s a little west of Ipswich, looks like maybe he’s in the Lockyear Valley council area. I lived a little further west than that in Laidley for a year while I was doing vet school. That is an absolutely gorgeous area and I loved the year I lived there. There is a Hanoverian stud not far from where he lives.

Texas here, near Houston. I feel cheated by the last hurricane, we got no rain at all, no nice breezes, and the power still went out for like ten hours on one of the hottest days this summer. :P Talk about misery! Next one I'm hoping we at least see it go by or something. lol We need some rain!

@Justa, I'll trade ya! We just got power back on yesterday, and I'm in North Louisiana. It was pretty rough up here, but nowhere near as bad as it was down South. Still, it's been 100+ for most of these days. Definitely miserable, but oh so thankful. All we usually get is a good storm from a hurricane, nope we got the whole hurricane way up here too.

@Windigo I used to be up that way until three years ago, I know how rough it had to be going so long without power. :/ Glad it's finally back on for you!

My niece is still up that way near Texarkana and said that all they got was rain and a little wind. I never watch the news so I haven't heard how bad it was other places, I just know they were warning us it was going to drown Houston for like a week, even shut down all businesses and everything the day before it was supposed to arrive and told people in low-lying areas to be ready to evacuate, then we got absolutely nothing. I mean, it wasn't even cloudy type nothing. I like storms, so I was kind of annoyed by it all. :\">

I live in mid wales, UK. Its such a pretty place and not too many people. We have lovely native horses around here. I like to travel up to Scotland for holidays, it's just so scenic and definitely has the nicest coastline I've ever seen

Currently in Oklahoma, US, but I've lived in Georgia, Florida, West Virginia, Colorado (my favorite US state), and Kentucky. We also lived in England, Ireland, and France for a year and a half and plan to go back permanently to England or Ireland as soon as we can. We got to visit Scotland four times and I absolutely loved. it. so. much. I hope to live there someday, it is my favorite place in the world. If you are going to Scotland, make some time to drive the backroads, it is so so worth it! Each time we went, we carved our way through the winding little roads to see as much scenery as we could and I am so glad we did. It was wonderful.
