PART ONE: My dear Chocolate Frog decided to stick around one more month for the party! Let’s send him out with a bang! June 2020 is Froggy’s last live cover breeding season, so I am giving away four straws at a time, or live cover, to anyone who owns a Watercolor license.
To enter, just leave a message below with your preference and your ID so I can add you to my chat/send straws. If you use up those straws this month, I will happily send more—just ask. Everybody wins!

RS Chocolate Frog

PART TWO: Following in his footsteps is my darling new clone cutie Juan, aka The Chosen One. I am SO excited about this handsome guy. I saved up for many, many months to bring this boy into existence. He is the epitome of “long term planning” for my herd. My sincere hope for Juan is that he can produce at least one second gen Gold filly in his lifetime—how cool would that be?!

Right now, as of 1 June 2020, The Chose One is the number one Forest Server Foundation for PT and Paper Level. He is a clone who was born papering A. Juan is cloned from a Conversation Hearts, 5% breeding boosted, A-papered handsome boy named Valar Morghulis, who is a very upstanding stallion in his own right. Juan tested AGA Valar, and then was given a 5% breeding boost of his own, so he now tests HIGHER than a low-A papered foundation.
This was an experiment of “how far can I go with a Foundation?” and I am so pleased with the results. Froggy will always have my heart as my number one main man, but Juan is really a spectacular specimen, too.

For Juan, I am asking for some advice:
1.) How would you edit/snazzify his genes?
2.) Would you remove the Axiom Green so that anyone can breed to him?
3.) Would Juan even BE of any breeding interest to your program? Foals bred from Foundation mares, even boosted Blue mares, even in the AI lab, would likely NOT pass BA. Some people do not like such uneven level pairings.

—First Prize for best suggestions for Juan is first pick of his first crop of foals (note he is only two in June, so they will not be born until July), and 20 straws or live covers. IF you don’t own Axiom Green, and I keep Green on him, I will also place a copy for you ASAP so you have the license. If I do remove it, you get a pasture of similar value : )

1: I WISH clones could receive RGS genes because i would say he needs some nacre and diamond sparkle with some chinchilla thrown in to top it off! For Lab genes though, I would remove at least one,if not both, Splash genes and possibly the frame. I'm not one for a ton of white, especially if it can be easily lethal. I may even take both splash 1s off and add one Splash M. I would give him a copy of S+ and a copy of regular Sooty. I would give him 2 copies of satin and DP. Kit genes, i would personally go with Kit M and White 3 and to top it all off, i would do one copy each of KP and KP2 and do 2 copies of Chocolate! :) I personally LOVE flashy. The flashier, the better! :x

2: I wouldn't. I myself own all the closed genes and i tend to make my foundations for myself first. The only exceptions have been Ghibli and Ponoc but those two got as many flashy open genes as possible from the RGS and lab. And you can't remove fantasy genes through the lab anyways. But even if you could, i would keep it so i could get some surprise shiney babies later down the line :)

3: I would probably be interested for the sole reason that he is such a high level foundation breeder. If he was able to have Mushroom added, i would be back for straws every day! But i would most certainly find a place for some straws if offered. But in my opinion, i say, build him YOUR way and if people want to try straws from him, great! If not, more for you to enjoy :) I would just say be open to letting people bootstrap him for better results. Good luck with him!

1.) How would you edit/snazzify his genes?
I would replace the w20 and roan with Kit M and sabino 2. Pull the Splashes and add KP2. Then I would make him shiny to help set off the Axiom! Hom Cham, Hom Pearl, Hom nd1, Hom satin. I like dark so I would do Hom S+, DP and Chocolate, but he does look like he wants to be light. Maybe the Hom S+.

2.) Would you remove the Axiom Green so that anyone can breed to him?
You pay for and breed what you love. You can always offer the foals that don't pick up Green to anyone who wants to have Juan in their lines but hasn't got the license yet. You've given yourself this option already to give others some joy. Don't let your joy be dimmed by anyone else. You gave him Green for a reason. You're good. :)

Possibly, I am pushing to get my ExPer mares boosted as I do breed evenly so that wouldn't be as much a concern as I'm not interested in Axiom Green.

Froggy is absolutely stunning! I don't own Watercolor yet, but plan to buy it if/when it comes up in the daily RGS this month. Would you be willing to pull straws for me to pick up after I buy WC?

1: I personally would throw in some fun "extra" genes - a little snowflake here, a little dp there, maybe some of the littler genes like a copy of champagne or some such - essentially, throw on the flash! Divy up the e/E and A/a, etc., as well! He's going to be the start of a great lineage, so variety in the beginning means lots of variety down the road, instead of an entire herd of the same everything once you've hit gen five! Don't be afraid to break up any "hom" genes by throwing in a little het of this and a little het of that.

2: Keep the axiom! Since it's het, it's easy enough for you to offer foals from him to people without closed genes, and that way you get to share the love around AND keep him flashy!

3: Oh, absolutely. While I understand the concern over not really being able to BA his foals, I think most people are more concerned with high papers than strict testing, especially when the expectation is laid out beforehand that the foals won't be superior to their sire. For me personally, I'm primarily bootstrap anyways, but my smaller fantasy herd is only concerned with generational equality, the faster the papers go up the better.

I would love participation straws from Adhira! He's a stunner!

1: I would definitely drop at least one splash, switch w20 to kitm, keep the green and change one of his Bay to anything else. I'd also add pearl.

2: No.

3: I think it would be fun to run him against my high fantasy gen 3 girls for bootstrap sparkle.
