Hey guys. So back in February me my sister and my mom left our farm and ended up in a domestic violence shelter. We’re out now and are staying with a friend. All our animals were left unfortunately at no fault of their own. All of the animals are my moms which are considered marital property according to courts, him and my mom, except one of the horses. I have a receipt of sale from my mom for her and basically all of her equipment and tack and stuff was all bought with my own money. My mom has been telling me that she’ll call her lawyer and see what we need to do. I even have a place for her that I’m currently working at that I could very likely work for board for her. But today I tried asking her about it and she told me that there’s nothing she can do which I get I guess because he’ll find any and every way to keep her in his possession, like using vet bills against us, even though he’s doing a horrible job of taking care of them. I don’t really understand why she switched up on me honestly but i know this horse is worth annoying my mother to call the lawyer... I apologize for the rant and if it doesn’t make sense, I just needed somewhere and someone to tell all of this to... Thank you.
