Does the horse have to be hom to show it? What horses does it look best on? Anyone have any mushroom horses you want to show off? Thanks!

Has to be hom to show it. Looks best on livers (especially black livers with flaxen mane and tail), chocolate palominos, DP buckskins or DP bays in my opinion

Feel free to peak through my Hom MU to get an idea of how some of the colors looks with it (the appies tend to white out eventually from their varnish so there are some that appear white in there )

I LOVE Mushroom! I think it looks phenomenal on a hom DP base. I personally love Onyx with it but i am trying to keep the onyx minimal since i am trying to keep my horses competitive in the Mushroom Breeders Club. I will say, one of my favorite Mushroom colors is a DP Buckskin Pearl Mushroom! I have a few on the Bluegrass server and they are stunning! And throw in some Onyx and it's like perfection!

I don't think my boy looks the best but he has what I want. HOM Onyx, HOM Mushroom, HOM Splash M and more to come so this is what it looks like on red onyx. Just made him splash m and mushroom so he may not have it unless you click him

I love mushroom too. It looks best on red based livers, and its dreamy with pearl. I loke it with learl and cream too.

Mushrooms are one of my absolute favorite (aside from onyx). Agree with mushroom looking best on red bases with sooty, DP, and flaxen! Been focusing on a line of true breeding flaxen liver mushrooms with snowflake and appaloosa. I find that when you add cream to homozygous mushroom, it turns the color into a neat sepia looking tone so have incorporated some cream here and there.
