The public auction runs on Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday every week until 8 PM game time (U.S. Eastern time.)

You can use Search Horses to find them: Open Search Horses and in the For Auction under status, then unselect Stallion and Mare in the gender box. In the bone weight box, put Select under 1.5 to get Light horses. The age box will allow you to narrow the search for a given age range. Then browse through the results for horses you can afford and like the look of and bid on them.

I'd give you the link for the search I just did for light horse neuters under 10 with those parameters (66 pages of results with 25 horses on every page except for for the last, probably), but there's only about an hour for the auction to continue running and you may not read this in time.

Suggested Parameters: For Auction; Age - Under 10; Bone Weight - Under 1.5; Gender - Gelding and Spayed Mare. You can leave the rest blank or choose other options to add to the list if you'd like.

If you want Frame (which can have striking effects on horses with splash and Kit mutations with White Factors more than None or Minimal), you can decide to have it in either stallions or mare. Stallions can do up to 50 live covers per game year, and mares can have only 1, unless you have a Premium upgrade and can use eggs. So in terms of having a chance of more foals with a helpful pattern and frame, stallions will give you the most chances. Remember, that the stallion will have a 50% chance of passing on frame for every foal, so there's still no guarantee of success.

In regards to frame, I love it. I do lose a foal or two every season with risky breeding, but I’ve built up enough of a herd that I don’t feel the loss. I do however keep it out of my studs. I don’t breed frame to frame, and it’s a lot easier to keep it out of a couple studs than hundreds of mares. Any boy with frame gets the snip or sold.

I don't allow frame in my studs. Only mares may carry it.

I feel like that’s a super good start for me maybe I’ll look at buying another barn on pay day but for now I’m greatly happy with my show pony’s and cannot thank everyone enough!

@HiddenGenetics - that first horse looks that way because she has grey. They have that cloudy look when they are young and eventually fade to white. Grey is under appreciated, I think!
