Good morning, and welcome to the Dating Game!
This thread will outline the rules and prizes, and is where any questions should go.

The premise: there are nine total eligible bachelors, divided into three groups - "untested" foundations (the phenotype group), tested foundations, and second gen. You may enter once per account (one group, and one entry in that group). All bachelors are warmbloods, to be "middle of the road" on size, and the foundations are all either Exceptionally Perfect or Hom Sooty Exceptionally Perfect creates. The foundies may or may not have been tweaked a little. :)

You will select one of the bachelors, and a mare of yours who'd be their perfect mate. Post your pair, why you've selected them, and the gene string you hope to get from their pairing (you can include other hopes, but the gene string is what will be considered for judging).
You will breed your selected mare to your chosen bachelor, and share the resulting progeny - who is yours to keep, just for playing! Whichever player in each category gets the baby closest to their hoped-for gene string will also win the stud they used!

There will be a thread for each group, to be posted later today. Here are the group-specific dates and such:

The first group will be "untested foundations" - there will be three stallions posted, but only their pictures! You'll have to make your best guess on their genes, and go from there. Since this is more difficult, there will be show horses as part of the prize: the person who was the closest will pick theirs first, then the person who was next closest, on down the list (show horses listed here are available - my bootstrap account, so there are some nice PTs in there). This group will have an entry deadline of February 13th (just in time for Valentine's day!), and entrants will either be added to a chat room for live breeding or sent a straw from their selected stud between the 14th and 15th. That way, nobody can spoil the surprise!
Winners for this group will be announced by the 17th.

The second group will be "tested foundations." There will be three stallions posted, both image and link to their page. You can enter any time before 2/25, and you will be added to a chat with the bachelors for live breeding between the 16th and 26th.

The third group will be "second gen." There will be three even-bred, second gen stallions posted, both image and link to their page (so you'll be able to view their parents, as well as their genetics). You can enter any time before 2/25, and you will be added to a chat with the bachelors for live breeding between the 16th and 26th.

Winners for the second and third groups will be announced by the 27th.
