Here in the next week or so, I'll be posting full info (and I'll probably open it up on 2/1), but I wanted to get a rough idea of how many people would be interested before embarking!

The premise: there will be three groups - Foundation, 2nd Gen, and Mixed Gen. For each group there will be three to five open-gened studs posted. To play, you will pick the group you feel most suitable for you, pick a stud from that group's eligible bachelors, and one of your mares to pair with him. Post said bachelor, why you picked him, your bachelorette, and the genetic string you hope/expect to get from their pairing. Once you have posted, you will be added to a chat to breed your lady to her leading man. You'll keep the progeny (a fun prize, just for playing), and the player from each group that gets the foal with the closest genetics to their stated intentions will also get the sire!
So, it's a little bit proper planning, a little bit understanding how the genes work, and a little bit luck.

Now, in order for me to determine whether the groups should run concurrently or consecutively, I'm trying to estimate how many people will be playing. I'm also happy to field questions and take suggestions into consideration. :)
If you'd like to play for sure, please post here (not that you don't get to play if you don't post!), and if you have a good idea of which category you'd enter, please include that as well. If you know there's one category you won't enter, you can just put that. If you won't know until you see the bachelors, that's fine too!

I like what your doing here. I can't commit to any particular group without seeing the studs, but I'd love to try my hand at at least one of them.

So far, sounds like most people would be interested in foundation or 2nd gen.
If there isn't really interest in mixed gen, that may get scrapped... But we'll see!

I'd be willing to join in, with either first or second gen. It sounds like fun. Frustrating, maybe, given the odds of getting everything to turn out as planned, but still lots of fun.
