It can be SO easy to get excited, and caught up in the fun, that we forget to be grateful for the effort that has gone into finding, acquiring, and sending gifts.
Remember to say THANK YOU for ANY gift, and, for that matter for the thought, because that counts for SO much!

You don't need to go bouncing of the walls yelling Thank you at everyone. (Although those people are fun to watch!) But a simple thanks and a brief brag about what was gifted to you ALSO goes a long way!

So I want to say THANK YOU to everyone here! If you entered SS or not, you have contributed to this amazing community, and your presence is known and so very welcome!!!!!

My mysterious SS gifted me straws from @BlackWyld, who was generous enough to share straws from Ithildin - I couldn't believe it when I saw the straws on my home page! I used a few the other day and came up with this beautiful A-papered colt who will become a filly very soon. Thank you!

As many of you know, someone in this amazing community gave me Thunderstruck on this beautiful foal, which is now my memorial to my friend I lost. I've also received straws and the money for a GMT, so I think it's safe to say that I've been spoiled already this year. Can't wait to figure out who they are so I can thank them personally.

I logged in earlier today, expecting around 90k in my bank and saw I had over 8 HUNDRED THOUSAND!!!!! :O Thank you Santa!!!!!

My girls also want say THANK YOU!!!!! For the new show ponies!!!!! FallenShadows gave me a handful not related to SS. They LOVE them!!!!! We haven't been able to name and tack them yet because of crazy schedule; but I can't wait to see what they come up with.

On a side note how are you able to gift tac packs? Or did they just send you the HJbs and you bought? I would love to be able to give my recipient some tack packs or at least the availability to be able to use them as I own them all. And they enjoy tack packs

My SS gifted me this Gorgeous mare who not only is hom 2g chinchilla, but also has dun, and het KP!! Which are things I’ve been trying to add to my line but struggling to get accomplished.

So I was only doing secret Santa stuff as an elf not as a gift giver or recipient, but I went in to the shopping for ivs to get the new tack pack and noticed that I had 60 ivs. I'm pretty positive that I only personally purchased 30 of them. So if you gave me Ivs then thank you.

Ah I am absolutely squeeing in joy, my SS (least I think it was my SS) finished my boy Draco in time for the holidays, he got his het DP and last S+ so may I present Draco The Bouncing Ferret, he's also het for Onyx (yes I know its barely visible but @BlackWYld made a crack about onyx making them think of ferrets and well all I could imagine was a white ferret bouncing up and down but he needed to have a little shading so her got DP and S+ to add a little shade) now excuse me I'm going to go scream and dance around my apt like a little girl who just got told she is getting an actual horse for the first time. Thank you!!!!

This thread is my favorite! All the holiday goodness!

I just want to thank all the people who have been willing to transfer horses and straws for me this year. I don't own any of the same fantasy genes as my recipient and so it's been hard to finagle gift transfers. Thank you all for bearing with me!

I, too, wanted to thank the wonderful elves who have helped me transfer horses and gifts to my SS recipient. This has been my first Secret Santa here on HaJ, and I can’t wait for many more! What a fun experience to be able to go a little wild and help someone’s dreams come true :)

My secret Santa has been very generous! I got some absolutely amazing horses from them that I can't wait to breed! They are all combinations of chinchilla, onyx and satin which I breed for. Here are just a few of the amazing horses I got!

Edit to add: Now that I know who my secret Santa was I can thank them properly haha! Thank you so much @Dunbroc for being an amazing SS! And thank you to @BlackWyld for your kind generosity in sharing your genes/horses. You both made my Christmas wonderful ^^

I also thankful just got on tonight for a few minutes and I now have a new 10 acre pasture. What an awesome gift with what I am doing with a line. I want to keep it small and this will help tremendously. Thank you.

I'm thankful for all of the people who have helped me become near complete on my GMT projects. I'd be nowhere without these people. It's been hard this month for me with vet bills, and I was thinking I wouldn't get any of them done. I'm now thinking that might actually happen, thanks to all these wonderful people. Confluence, thank you for helping Ammit keep this wacky family in line. I like to think of you sometimes as the best crazy cyber aunt that anyone could ever wish for.

This Christmas season has been vastly different for me than last year. I did not take part in SS this year because of RL issues and was pretty bummed out. But I have had a few people come forward and ask me for things for their SS and being able, in my own little way, to help them make their Secret Santa's Christmas the best it can be has been an absolute joy!
Really! You guys are all rocking at your SS duties! Keep up the great work!!

I have also been blessed by some wonderful people who have helped me get a little bit closer to getting my current dream project, "Misil", finished.

So many splendid people have also been helping me to expand my Black Brindle Army. Thanks to many extremely generous players and Ammit putting on the Brindle Breakout event I have been able to add some pretty rare and exclusive brindle RS (some one of a kind) to my herd that I would never have the chance of owning otherwise.
I will never begin to thank all those people enough! I cherish each and every one of those RS. I can't wait to see their legacy and hope to make a few extra special before I finally breed them.

I'm very grateful for a huge amount of show ponys I was given. Well over a 100. Not only did I need them to show but the mares are great form my egg implants projects going on. Which she also sent me a boat load of as well. I can't wait for next season to see all the crazy foals I'll get. Just a prefect gift.

I didn't do Secret Santa again this year because my health has been bad and I didn't want to bite off more than I could chew, which turned out to be smart since I ended up in the hospital for Christmas. I've been playing elf as much as a could while in here, though, setting up gifts for some of my closest friends on here and a few random people, trying to spread the love as it were.

You really do get what you give. :x

I have so many project horses it's silly, but there are always a few that are more important to me than others, ones I especially want to get finished, and I feel very blessed by all the help I was given with my favorites this year. I just have to share, even though they aren't yet done in most cases. I love them!

I lost both my foundation nexus and watercolor stallions recently, and this boy is a beautiful combination of the two that I can't wait to use after just a couple more tweaks. I love how his nexus and watercolor combined into such a rich, deep shade of dark purple. It's one of my favorite colors!

Anyone who knows me knows my love for a nice dun too, particularly a dark brown dun. I just love their rich colors, and adding in a little sabino or appy bling is never a bad thing, preferably both. This is the first time I've added ice into my dun lines, but I love how the subtle feathery whorls of i16 turned out against the dark dun coat. This boy will be herdsire for my dun line going forward, and I can't wait to see what he throws!

And this lovely girl is everything I love in a drafty mare with her rich golden brown color so like oak leaves in the fall and a bright dusting of clouds and leaves falling softly down her shoulder, reminding me of my very favorite time of year. :x

Finally, honorable mention for this year is my Christmas gift to myself, who has been mostly done for a couple months now, waiting mostly for one final thing.... Ice 10, which I have wanted badly for over a year. I love how he turned out and can't wait to see his foals that inherit it!

From the Elf standing point (I didn't do the SS this year), it has been fun to help every one out doing the sneaky sending for the Santas, to help surprise the Giftees, and all the other mischievious deeds that I have pulled. I know that I tend to "over do it" when I play SS (or Super Speedy Sneaky Secret Squirrel), just ask my former SS Giftees (or victims)! It is so worth the time and effort to make another's day happy, bright, joyful, and more than they expected it to be.

My secret Santa and or the Yule Lasses have been busy. I now have a another barn and it's filled with awesome snow flake breeding stock horses! Just look at all those pretty spotty horses. only a few of those were originally mine. What a lovely gift. I'm so happy! Thank you secret Santa.

I didn't participate as a secret Santa, but I want to add a thank you as well. I spent a lot of time yesterday afternoon searching for a single stallion with the proper generation and paper level to breed a single het nexus mare.
I found two stallions that might work, and I messaged the owner to see if I could purchase a couple straws. In the end, instead of a couple straws that I was looking for, I ended up with a small starter herd including the stallion I wanted straws from.
