What RS can have DP?

    So I've been exploring DP these last few months and am slowly realising I've probably missed alot of this as only recently started to understand it. My main question really is what HH/RS could trigger DP? I was trying to see if I had a DP het or hom on one of my mares and she is out of a cherry drop. If that normally a carrier of DP?
    ID - 47350 (Most Licences) Breeding heavy. Carry it Forward Project - Snf, Kp, Dp, Df, Sa and Sb2. Welsh Dreams - Full of fantasies

    Cherry drop are always hom DP (just not sooty), as well as Freaky Friday's (but they are sooty).

    Are you asking on what HHrs is it possible to get DP (all of them) or which will always have DP?

    In addition to the ones mentioned above there are Kings Ransom, Dark Chocolate, A Rhythm of Four, Pretzel Twist, The Bronze Age and Baroque who are all (at least) heterozygous.

    As far as I understand all hh have a small chance of having a copy of DP, I was more asking which RS will always have dp and whether it’s het or hom as it hadn’t really occurred to me before

    Freaky Friday: always hom DP, always hom sooty, always hom Frame, always either black or red based (never bay/brown).

    Cherry Drop: always hom DP, always wild bay. May or may not have any sooty.

    Kings Ransom: always at least het DP, Het Pearl unless something else knocks it out like Blackout.

    Dark Chocolate: at least Het DP, hom sooty palomino.

    A Rhythm of Four: at least het DP brown buckskin.

    Pretzel Twist: Het DP hom sooty random base color brindle.

    Bronze Age: Het DP hom pearl?

    Baroque: Het DP hom pearl random base.

    Anything I’ve messed up there?

    I've never seen a cherry drop created with sooty, didn't know that was possible.
