Closed Thanksgiving Give Away Closed

    It’s November and that’s my favorite month of the year because it’s time for Thanksgiving. I have a huge feast here for 30+ Aussies and force them to celebrate my favorite holiday.

    This month I’m also a little lonely because my partner is off in the US for a business trip, but this means I have plenty of time for planning Thanksgiving, doing my normal work and plenty of procrastination too.

    This time the give away will be a little different. Instead of giving a fixed number of ponies to each person, I will let you tell me how many ponies you have room for or want. Depending on how many you want, you will get a mixture of established, high pointed, middle aged ponies with plenty of months left in game, some babies, and maybe some older super high pointers.

    As always, I do this give away to give you a long term bump to your daily show bonus. While I will not be policing your use of these ponies, I would be displeased to find out someone chose to turn them for a quick buck in the auction or sell them for a profit. I expect you to give my ponies a home for life in your show barn.

    All ponies will be given a prefix that corresponds with your player name and put in the Cheers Elf Room buddy chat. Please pick up ponies promptly so the chat doesn’t get too crowded. Ponies still sitting in the chat room 5 days after I get them up for you may be removed and will not be added back. Please be careful to only pick up your own ponies. If we have associated accounts, let me know so we can arrange a go between please!

    Contest will run today through the end of the month, but please note that last week I will be neck deep in Thanksgiving prep and less attentive to the game! Early entries are appreciated!

    All accounts including side or secondary accounts are eligible to enter the give away. You must complete a new entry form in a new post for each entry please, just to keep it easy for me to keep up! One entry per account please.

    Favorite food to eat at thanksgiving - For every thanksgiving my mom makes her well-known and beloved Butternut Squash Soufflé. It is sweet and thick, and sits in your stomach like a pound of bricks, perfect for a chilly November feast. There is never any for leftovers.

    Genes/colors/body types - I prefer the warmblood body type, and I love dark dappled horses, but I'll appreciate any show pony!

    How many ponies - I'd happily take a few older ponies, 5 or 6? More if you feel like it. I lost many good show ponies at the end of last month and I need some time to build up my young show-ers points.

    What are you thankful for/what is your favorite thing to eat at Thanksgiving? I'm looking forward to orange sweet potatoes. A dish we started making when my son was very small, that still stars in every Thanksgiving menu. I'm thankful I survived the last year.

Love the closed genes especially Rainbow Riot Thunder struck, water color, and onyx; but for show ponies only ponies it doesn't make much difference in genes or coloring if they clean up in the show ring so there really isn't anything I don't like in a show pony. :3 if it makes me $$$ daily and places well in the show ring it's an A++ in my books :)

    At this point, I'm just really thankful that we get to go into another year on the farm. We've been suffering under immense droughts ever since starting out and each year we wonder if it'll have to be our last. But, with help from the Lord and some wonderful individuals, we will be able to start the next season in December and re-evaluate after another year.

    We don't celebrate Thanksgiving here in South Africa so cannot mention a favorite dish.

    The Melbourne Cup is already in the winner's trophycase, but much as I love horse-racing I admit to not being so familiar with the Australian scene as I once was. I particularly dislike handicap races as I can never predict the winners! I was rooting for Finche though as I just love Juddmonte Farms.

    I particularly love cobs, but for show ponies absolutely anything will do perfectly.

    As to how many ponies I want, that's an impossibly unfair question. 3 987 161 would maybe help!!! Seriously though I'm gonna say 10, although just 1 would already be wonderful for building up my show herd.

    What are you thankful for/what is your favorite thing to eat at Thanksgiving? This year I'm very grateful for my mothers health. We have had some scary times this year with two different stays in the ICU for a week each. Life look a little better now and for that I'm grateful. My mom or I (depending on who cooks) makes this very delicious broccoli casserole for Thanksgiving and Christmas. It's normally all gone by the end of the day, as it's our favorite and we only make it twice a year.

    I love mashed potatoes, Turkey and Sweet potatoes! And don't forget desert! :)) i LOVE homemade cherry, blueberry and chocolate pie's! :D

    What are you thankful for/what is your favorite thing to eat at Thanksgiving? This thanksgiving, I am most thankful for the happy new home we have, and the wonderful new life we are building. My favorite thing to eat is probably either the mashed potatoes, or cranberry relish :x

    What genes/colors/body types do you particularly like? I’m a big fan of drafts, and will take pretty much any colors! I always love surprises! My favorite is seeing the colors other people love.

    Anything you dislike? I’m oddly not fond of bays here in the game.

    I am most thankful for the opportunity to start studying for a doctorate in occuptional therapy! This will be as hard as get all get out but it will be absolutely life changing and enable me to reach my ultimate dreams!

    My favorite thanksgiving food is actually made the day before Thanksgiving. My family and I make, boil, and fry gyoza (chinese dumplings) by the hundreds in the morning and feast all day on them while we prep for our Thanksgiving meal. This is a 2x year event with the 2nd batches of gyoza made on Christmas Eve. They are soo good and comforting. If pressed, I would say my favorite food on Thanksgiving day would be our roasted brussel sprouts with olive oil, salt and pepper. Y.U.M.

    Missed the Melbourne Cup! It was a good race though from the short replays I have seen.

    I am fond of the big booty drafts on here, the heavier the better! For show horses though, it is a free for all! :-)

    Im thankful for my boyfriend and soulmate who has supported me through a hard year and my beautiful son who I love unconditionally
    I live in Sweden so we dont celebrate thanksgiving but i have done that 1 time in my life and love turkey!

    Oh! And, Melbourne cup is run and won. Vow and Declare won. My three picks all made the trip safely, with Twilight Payment leading most of the way but falling behind in the challenge down the homestretch. Raymond Tusk and Surprise Baby both raced well and I’m glad I supported them.

    My favorite food at Thanksgiving is probably... The variety! It's fun to have things to choose from - I'm terrible at all things cooking, so I really enjoy it! Also, I'm thankful for lots of things, but on the note of my inability to cook, I'm soooo thankful that my husband both can and likes to!

    I really like the watercolor look, but I don't have the license so I've started eyeing show ponies with it! I also like interesting patterns, and anything shiny - I don't think I've ever seen a pixel pony I didn't like!

    Anything you dislike? Eh. Not really. Though... solid white is often a no for me. Lol. But as a show pony, I'd be happy with whatever.

    What are you thankful for/what is your favorite thing to eat at Thanksgiving? This Thanksgiving I'm thankful for my friends. My family has been though a difficult year, and my friends have been such a comfort and a help. I also have a great church family, and they have been my support system. I'm also thankful for a whole week off from work! Lol.

    What genes/colors/body types do you particularly like? Anything you dislike? I'm SUPER new to the game, just joined yesterday night! Soooo, I don't have a good grasp of the genes yet. I LOVE horses with flashy patterns (paints, appys, etc) and things like roans, duns, champagnes/cream, sooty, and anything dappled! Pretty much the only thing I really don't like is anything that's not realistic, like the fantasy colors or things like that. I prefer the warlord type body but I really think they are all gorgeous.

    How many ponies do you want? I'm shocked and incredibly grateful to get anything- getting started on this game is hard! My barn is mostly empty. I've seen people say 10 so I'll say that, but I will welcome as many as you are willing and able to give to my barn with welcome arms!

    Sweet potato casserole! I get it once a year, and I could literally just devour the whole casserole myself. I especially love it with some walnuts mixed in with the potatoes and marshmallows, yum! I am extremely thankful for my family and friends, without them life is pretty empty for me.

    I’m happy with just about anything. I am a sucker for ice10 and watercolor though.

    How many ponies do you want? 5-10 would be great, whatever you have time to find. I lost some of my older guys this past rollover and have been super busy lately so haven’t had time to look for some new younger guys to replace them

    I am thankful that my husband will be home this year and he will get to see our 1yo fully experience Thanksgiving this year (since she is old enough to enjoy all of the food). I love my grandma's sweet potato casserole and I think my daughter will too.

    I would love 5 more show ponies. I like the look of drafts and warmbloods the most and the darker the better, but honestly for show ponies it doesn't matter so much. Points and earning ability are the most important thing and I would be thankful for any pixel ponies you want to send my way.
    I breed for Spotted Drafts that could actually be registered in real life. I like them to be Black, Creamy Black, Gray Black, or Grullo and the horse has to have at least a 2inch square patch of white above the knees/hocks and not on the head. I am hoping to get some really unique color combinations. ID# 50732

    What are you thankful for/what is your favorite thing to eat at Thanksgiving? I am thankful to wake up each day, to have two jobs I love, for my family and friends. And for this amazing community. My favorite thing to eat at Thanksgiving is a toss up between stuffing and mashed potatoes lol
    What genes/colors/body types do you particularly like? Anything you dislike? I love any body type for showers. I absolutely love nace and wrong warp as well as satin but anything works for show ponies
    How many ponies do you want? I'll say 10 also, but my show herd is pretty lacking lol I'm working on building it up but I have a bunch of older guys so they help only in the short term.
