Did auction glitch?

So an hour ago I went to check my bids at auction and it said I'd been outbid on this horse. Figured I'd come back later and bid higher closer to the cutoff, so I left it be. But then I got distracted ordering dinner and missed the end of auction.
But...I got him anyway?
If someone outbid me on this boy, I'd like to send him to them.
