The phantom gene is an all-new gene that causes phantom marks on white markings left by KIT [all except roan], splash, and frame markings. It does not interact with appaloosa markings, and will only show when it has white areas to interact with. Your horse must show white pinto markings to show the results of phantom. Solid horses will have the gene completely hidden. Appaloosa can hide the results of phantom.

Phantom currently comes in 5 varieties.

Bats

Ghosts

Spiders

Skulls

Pumpkin

It is a closed fantasy gene that is only available via USD purchase and will vanish from the sales area after Halloween. Once gone the spooky phantom collection will not return until next October at the soonest. The phantom gene will be testable and searchable eventually but it may take a few weeks for me to get to that.

Can we only buy any allele for 1 horse? I picked 3 stallions and tried putting 2 genes on each one. That meant that one of the alleles was a repeat. Both alleles show up on his info page, but only 1, the one that wasn't on either of the other two horses appears. Here he is. For whatever reason, he doesn't look batty. :D

Did you change alleles when you were adding, or did you add both alleles to the same side?

@SandycreekFarm There is a bug, the dam’s allele is not showing the bats even though it has been added. Ammit said she will put a bug fix in tomorrow for it.

I guess it's not in my stars to have the phantom genes. I have 2 different stallions in mind to put it on, so I could get 4 outta 5 genes. For some reason PayPal will not take my money. Checked the bank, sure nuff, $10 is in there. Info is entered correctly every time, PayPal keeps declining. No skulls and bats and spiders oh my for this gal.
