Do Heterozygous Snowflake Horses Heavily Varnish? (Looking for others experience/comparisons)
-
I breed snowflake in a few of my lines, and I noticed in some of my older second gen mares they are very heavily varnished (all of them have varnished to some degree). I know snowflake is a type of varnish, but I guess I didn't think that just them being heterozygous snowflake would cause such a heavy varnish.
Search link to some of mine for comparison. The thumbnails are not wanting to show their updated photos for me, might need to click on the individual horses to see updated photos.

I've noticed some of them varnish but I don't know if they are any faster/heavier than non carriers.#28036

All of my hom snowflake horses seem to turn white fast. It's kinda disappointing because I love the look of snowflake, but I'm not really into the white horse thing. Varnish in game seems to work a lot stronger than in reality in general, though. I have a lot of flashy appys that are pure white by ten. :/ I wish the genetics listing would let us see the varnish gene so I could breed it out!~*~ Justa ~*~

I just noticed all of my second gens from that line have some form of varnish, even the 4yos, with a lot of the 7-10yos having fairly heavy varnish. Unfortunately I can’t say anything for my other snowflake line, as it’s just getting started. But I’ve not noticed my non-snowflake carrying appys varnish nearly as fast. I was just wondering if there was a correlation between being a carrier and varnishing heavier/faster.
