Surprise Snowflake
-
I haven't paid any attention to snowflake at all, and certainly haven't bred for it (keeping up with hidden genes is hard, and I'm lazy - DP is enough complication for me).
So, imagine my surprise when I got this girly:

I guess that's the sort of thing that can happen with the hidden genes lol.ID 49814 | Chocolate grullos, with satin & nexusThanked by 1GeneverGinger -
Wow! Awesome!
Yea I have a hard time with KP and snowflake is even harder! But I have some snowflake foundations so keep hoping it will pop up on its ownBreeder of any and all crazy colored drafts and RH horses.

Both parents are het because they both have a snowflake parent. I like when it pops up with no visible snowflake in the line.#28036

Her pedigree is riddled with a lot of Snowflake carriers, so it is not too surprising for her to be homozygous for it.

I definitely had a "duh" moment when I noticed the "SNF" part of HotWine's name. I got him for his visible genes, and totally ignored that! lol Guess I might end up with some more surprises down the line! :DID 49814 | Chocolate grullos, with satin & nexus
