I used my newsletter HH Exceptional Show Horses to make this dude, combined with another HH just to throw a colour that I liked. I figured he wouldn't pass breeding inspection, but he managed to and papered C.

HMS James Blonde 1G

My main question is, will leaving him as a stud and breeding him compromise his showing ability? I'd love to try and get a few perlino babies out of him, but I also don't want to compromise his showing ability as I'm set to potentially lose a good chunk of my show horses this rollover.

Any thoughts/advice are much appreciated! :)

I have a lot of intact show horses, they still earn just fine as long as they're not left in pasture. All my stallions live in a barn and work for a living. :D

No it will not compromise his showing, but he will train higher if he is gelded.

Thanks guys :) I think I'll let him stay ungelded for now, and potentially geld in the future hopefully before he levels off to increase his training.

He'll be breedable next season. If you breed him then and geld him after you'll have foals and still have 7.4 years of gelding benefit in training for show before he caps off. Since you just made him you'll only lose 2 training weeks worth of bonuses before he ages up, this week and next, which is only a half a level.
