Foal quality: Pasture Breeding Vs Advanced Facility/Straw/Live Cover Breeding
-
This is probably something that needs to be answered by Ammit or someone who knows this game extremely well...
I was reading up on how to use pastures for breeding, and noticed that it says the longer a mare is in the pasture, the better her foal will be (30 days being optimal).
And that made me think: is it better to throw all of my mares in the pasture, wait a month, and then breed them? Or will foals created via embryo transfer/live cover/straw use generally be just as good as foals created from mares with 30 days in my pasture?
Have I been breeding wrong all this time?! ;)✿ Kismet | #38280 | Bootstrapping Excellence ✿ -
30 days in the pasture will get you the most intact foals from the cross. Intact foals from all breeding methods will be the same, the pasture doesn't make the foals better than other methods, you just get more of the good ones.Need to contact me? Read this first.
