Hey everyone,

This is probably another silly question, but I was wondering if anyone would be able to offer advice on naming your breed?

I've been thinking of calling mine "Lunar" Warmbloods, but I wasn't sure if that was too common of an English word. Any tips/advice? It's much appreciated! :)

Yes that would be too common and won’t be an ok name.

A lot of us have resorted to other languages for our breed names, so you might look up moons or moon gods/goddesses or other lunar tied words in other languages to name your breed.

You could also use features of the moon or other astronomy topics. :)

Grimaldi WBs, Crisial (Crisium) WBs, Imbrial WBs(Imbrium)

I like Looper's idea of turning a noun into an adjective (as long as it doesn't usually have an adjective form) Or you could add an extra letter or two to make something that would sound like "lunar" but isn't the proper English spelling of the word. It depends on what's most important to you.

A quick visit to Google Translate found the Maori word for moon--Marama, which, since it's not English, would make a great breed name.

That's how I came up with my breed names--Sandy Creek--in German for the Bluegrass server: Bachsandigan and in Norwegian here on the Forest server: Sandbuktian.
