Silly Question - Closed Genes

    Hey all,

    This is probably a silly question, but could someone help me out and explain how to purchase closed genes? I see there's a Roving Gene sale on and I'm interested in either an Ice or Chinchilla Gene, but I'm not sure how to go about buying it.

    I have a basic upgrade, do I need a premium one to buy these?

    Sorry all if this is dumb, I just genuinely can't seem to figure out how to go about this!

    No need for an upgrade at all! (And there is no such thing as a silly question!)

    Just go to the Upgrade Tab and select "Upgrade with Real Money". Then scroll down to the bottom and select the horse you want to modify from the drop down menu. From there, scroll down again and select the allele you want to add :) Make sure if you want a homozygous version of a gene to add one copy to EACH strand and not two copies of the same one!

    Also, in case you weren't sure, only foundation horses (horses with no ancestors) that have no living offspring or descendants can be modified through the Roving Gene Sales
