For me, I tend to price my straws based on what genes the stud has, their generation (foundations more than lined), and lastly I never go below 500hbs, so I don't end up at a loss.

For live covers, it honestly depends on if I'm ever planning on using that horse myself. If I am, then I'd up the live cover cost a little bit. If not, then mostly they're put up for dirt cheap. I don't expect to get a lot of money from live covers. I think I have a stud up for 1hb and he's only been used a handful of times.
