    When you have premium update does SBA cost anything? I'm considering taking the plunge for my account on the other server as I'm hoping it'll help me better sort through this season's foals

    No. SBA is free to use. The price of comparison test is reduced from 8000 to 4000 as well. So the premium upgrade is very useful if you are looking to cut down on your number of intact horses to keep only the best.
