On the other server my livers are named for villains from media. It started with Buffy the Vampire Slayer and now includes movies, comic books, and classic lit, amongst other sources

I feel you! I am maxed out on accounts on both servers due to my thematic addictions! Glad to know I am not the only name nerd.

I do (very loose) themes based on my foundation studs. My GP stud's progeny are named with LOTR dwarven/earthy themed names, my KP stud has a tree/plant theme, and my chinchilla-snowflake stud has a sky theme. I usually only name stallions and the occasional mare if she's really fancy. But the name gives me an idea of what hidden genes the horse might carry without having to open up their page and look at tattoos.

I don't theme my stable per say but I do try to theme my lines. They are a bit of a mess currently I'm phasing out most my breeding barns to focus on two new lines, ones already been started the second one I wont start until the current lines GMT work is done. The current breeding project is my Hooked On Classics line. The boys will all have classic writing/poetry related names, the girls all named after classical music pieces.

Second line will be my Nightrunner line, the names based off a series of books.

I do also have some Dean Winchester progeny and I tried to keep their names Supernatural related.

My alt account Keres has just started my Hogwarts line, so far all I've got is the stud I've started GMTing for it , Draco The Bouncing Ferret.

My other alt account Belenus is the future home of my Victorian line, plan is for them to be named after both fictitious and real life Victorian era people.
