Hey guys - I just finished going through my backlog of unnamed horses and found I still have lots of good name ideas! Would anyone be interested in a service where I name horses for a small hb fee? All names would be picked specifically for each horse.

Usually what I do is create new and unique names for show horses, while lined horses get a mixture of their sire's & dam's names. Of course, I am very flexible and do other naming schemes too.

I was thinking of charging 75hbs per horse (less than a reroll!) with discounts if I name an entire barn.

What do you guys think? Any interest?

I'd be happy for it. I have so many unnamed horses. So many 2gs need names, but... their parents likely go unnamed, too. Lol

I'd like that lol. Currently their names have a segment of their sire's name and then a number :))

How would this work? Would you send us a list of names with links to the horses? Because there is no way for you to actually go in and change the horses name from your account

I was thinking a list of names next to ID numbers, in order of ID number. I think it'd be the simplest and most condensed way to do it.

EDIT: The only part I'm not sure on is how to actually get payment - I think most people put up a random horse for sale in private chats for the amount due? Not sure... :/

@Spectrum People could send you money directly, but you can only send max of 10% of your total HB amount. So depending on how much money the person has, they could either send it to you directly or you can put a horse up for sale in a chat for the amount and the other person purchases it.

And an account has to be over 2 months old to send cash

I'm pretty sure most people who have extra horses that need named are usually over 2 months, but I could be wrong.

I'd be interested in having you create horse names for my unnamed lined horses. I have way too many unnamed horses mainly youngish breeding mares.

I have about 400 horses I would love to have named, but I don't know how it would effectively work with so many!

Alright, this seems like a decent amount of interest. Does somebody have a ~60-horse pasture with unnamed horses they could link me to? I'd like to to a trial run to see if this is feasible.

I have a 30 and a 60 (plus several 100s). The 30 pasture is probably the better one to try because the larger pasture has fillies with unnamed dams.
I name mainly by combining dam and sire names/or other names in the visible pedigree. I do have themes for my closed gene herds but they aren't in these pastures (or they shouldn't be...let me know if you see any Mushroom, Chinchilla, Wrong Warp or SplM in there).
