Having a really bad day....
-
Hey everyone... I'm having a bad day...well a bad year really. March 24th my cat Eagle died...May 10th my fiance and I split. Last Thursday my uncle passed away and today was his funeral and then my cat Belle passed away after the funeral. To top it all off my 12 year old Doberman was diagnosed last month with two different cancers, one in her toe and the other around her spinal cord. I'm just uh idk....I feel like I need a drink or somethingBreeder of the tallest drafts

Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry for your losses! The loss of a single pet is hard enough, let alone a family member and another pet in addition. I'm sending your Doberman warm thoughts and hoping she's able to stick around a while longer.
If you ever need anyone to talk to I'm here! -
:O
That's horrible! I'm so sorry about all of that. :( -
Thanks... we have Hannah one 3 new medicines they are her last resorts....she's comfortable for now, which is what means the most to me... I just can't lose her right nowBreeder of the tallest draftsThanked by 1RoseFlute

I really really hope she stays with you for a long time. You've had such a hard week already.
-
Oh goodness I know! We figured she wasn't gonna a make it a month, and we just hit t he montg mark and instead lost Belle who though she was 15 and was in the hospital for a week back in March for seizures, she was doing ok...but she had had another seizure while we were at the funeral and we rushed hed to the vet when we got home, but there wasn't much they could do...she just kept seizingBreeder of the tallest draftsThanked by 1RoseFlute

Aaaw. :( The only animals we've lost have either disappeared into the night or we found cold in the house somewhere. :( Were you in the room when they sedated her?
-
Yea... I'm a vet tech so I figured it wasn't gonna turn out well, but I wanted to have some sort of positive thinking I guess. They sedated her and she calmed down, but kept having focal seizures so likely had something in her brain or nervous system somewhere...Breeder of the tallest drafts

That is a lot of loss for one person to carry all at once. Sending you lots of sympathy and hugs.
-
So much sympathy. I've been there, sometimes life just seems to feel the need to kick us when we're already down. :-S Internet hugs and prayers are on the way for you!~*~ Justa ~*~
