Cloning? Adding genes? *Never Mind!*
-
Quick question.
Say I cloned a second gen horse that has special genes (NOT fantasy- it has Sooty plus, satin, and gulastra plume). Could I use some GMTs to add the genes, or would I be stuck with a regular clone/nothing too special?
I wanna make sure before I shell out. :) TIA! -
EDIT: never mind, I just went back and looked over the cloning lab rules and figured it out. :)
-
What did you figure out? I haven't cloned a lined horse with gmt-able non clonable genes to know what happens! I'd assume the satin etc would still clone, unlike foundations, but it they didn't you could gmt them back on?
-
I thought that the genes weren't supposed to clone because they don't show up on foundations (like it says in the cloning lab), but when I cloned the horse he had the sooty plus already. I had to add the other genes (satin and gulastra plume) with tokens.
Here is the clone

Good to know, yes so clones the same as foundations then, but at least with lined horses can gmt the non fantasy genes back in!
You've certainly now got the youngest DBTO progeny!
