Thoughts on my ideas?

Ok so I've been working on line breeding and getting overwhelmed. I was trying to do a line for each special gene I own, but now I'm thinking what if I do it by paper level? So do a line with my c papered studs and throw them all together, then b papered studs and so on and so forth, that would leave me with 3 potential lines, which I feel is more reasonable!

It's totally up to you! That's the best part about this game; there's no wrong way to play :)
For me, i personally keep lines separate. So i have a Chinchilla line where i only breed chinchillas together and same with mushroom etc. I find it easier to reach my color/quality goals quicker this way vs intermixing them. However if that's not something you are concerned about, then i see no problem trying it the other way :) I am also very very strict with my culling now a days. I culled all Red 3G fillies no matter the color and i spay all fillies that have no place in my breeding goals, no matter how pretty or shiny. And so on and so forth :) Good luck with whatever you decide!Bluegrass Server: HayesStable - 221755

Thank you! I was having such a hard time keeping lines straight and it was just becoming less fun! I have Red 2Gs from my c and yellow foundations and Blue 2Gs from my b and red foundations! I've also culled all inconsistant mares from my c and yellow line so far! I have to put a bunch of red foundations in my pastures now for the 14th when they'll auto breed. I over bred my watercolor boy, who is pretty plain, because he is aging out soon but next month I will be adding a bunch of color and appy hopefully with my other C papered studs! And as for the B papered boys I have alot of color and such with exceptional producers!Thanked by 1AHayesHorses
