    I bred this lovely filly today who I think is just beautiful. I just adore her markings. However I was very surprised that she colour tested as a: White Spotted Brown Tobiano. I was sure she was black. My question is why is she SO dark? Is it just a variation in shades of brown? Or is this some sort of DP effect? I *think* both her parents are at least het DP. Thank you!

    She's het brown and her brown points are covered up by white.

    See how this horse is mostly black with brown points? Imagine this on your horse and you'll see the white falls on the brown points.
