Are rabbits able to be shown, if they're purebred, but not pedigreed? I'm curious. I'm soon getting my bunny, and he/she will be a Holland Lop from a good breeder in town, and I'm rather curious if I'd be able to show him or her if I wished, though the little bug won't be pedigreed.

They can be shown without a pedigree as long as they are purebred and un-altered if i remember correctly. I only went to one ARBA sanctioned show and i never had to present a pedigree.

Definitely look intothe requirements for your area. From what I remember when I bred rabbits in Colorado two years ago, they had to be pedigreed to be shown to prove they were purebred.

Where I am (Alabama) pedigrees aren't required at county level/4-H type shows. I have a friend that goes to sanctioned shows, and he said pedigrees are required for best of type/show. Checking the ARBA website would probably give you a list of rules and show locations.

I think he travels to B'ham and Atlanta for shows. I am in the East Central area, and the kids do local fairs.
