Pointed Foundations PT?
-
Hi all! I only have a small stable on this server so i'm always in the market for good show ponies. I've noticed a rise in the price of pointed foundations, perfectly reasonable as they are worth good money but personally i won't buy a horse that will take a real life year to pay off its purchase price unless it has a chance to earn some more points along the way.
Just a polite suggestion if you want to sell those ponies a PT test will help the discerning buyer :D i understand if the PT test is poor you may have to lower the price but turnover should be better. -
The selling of pointed foundations is mostly geared towards those who already have an established show barn. I get about 35k every day from my show bonus, so spending 10k on a pointed foundation who will only start to earn a profit after a year is doable for me, especially since I'll most likely be showing it on the way anyway Any slack that it has will be picked up by the many many other show ponies I have. And I'm no where near the top earners. If you are new and looking to build a show herd it'd probably be best to buy the established show horses that are culled from programmes, or lined horses, for that purpose.Producer of Volcanic Glass Drafts. Prices are almost always negotiable.
On the look out for pointed creates -
Oh I would if any were available! Unfortunately I'm never online for the auctions. I also buy up high PT show yearlings, I don't mind waiting. But I'd be happy to spend 20k on a yearling pointed foundation if it were PT tested over 8.

I always test everything I can if I’m expecting to get someone else to pay extra for a horse.
I’m also rarely on the last few hours of the auctions but I don’t usually have too much trouble winning horses it does take a little bit of work and I don’t win every thing I bid on.
I usually sort all the auction horses by total points and then start at the top and put a 2,600hb bid on every horse that doesn’t have a bid and work down the list until I hit the end of my available money. If I can I go back later and starting where I ended up I continue down the list. Once I reach the horses whose total points would put them at the bottom my my barns points cut off then I start checking that hey are owned by upgraded players and have little showing (love the old pasture mares. They rarely get bid up and you can turn around and start showing them and it’s not uncommon for them to double or triple their points once you start showing them regularly) I geld/ spay everything I win, sort my horses by total points and rearrange them so that the higher pointed horses are in my extra barns and the lowest pointed horses are in my primary barn. Anything left in my primary barn once I fill my extras usually gets put in the next auction.
I rarely look at PT’s anymore they only tell you how long the horse is going to train for not how well of a show horse it will beBreeding even generation Grullos with IceThanked by 1FeldingFields -
Here's an experiment I did a while back.

PT Does have an effect, just not as much as you think it would. It was harder to get lower PT data points.Breeder of any and all crazy colored drafts and RH horses.
