Hey guys,

I was just wondering why I cant GMT the kit genes on this foal? I want to add roan or w20 on the plain kit gene, but it wont let me, and it also wont let me GMT the kitsb1 one either.

*UPDATE* It also wont let me remove the splash gene either

You can only add or remove as possible within the parents genes. Mom is hom Splash, so she will pass on Splash 100%. No way to remove that coming from her gene pool. She also has no Kit whatsoever, so you can't add any Kit gene on her side. Dad is hom sb1, so that is the only thing he can pass on.

Just wanted to get rid off the splash to make her look better and add another Kit gene so she could be Het KP

With her dam being hom KP, the filly IS het KP. You don't have to change her to make it be there, het KP is invisible anyway even if she had two kit genes. :)

Because mom has 2 copies of splash, baby is always going to get at least one copy...you can't get rid of it.
