I need help with pricing

    I have 3 ice studs that are all heterozygous satin.

    I also have a bunch of white spotted Ice babies. I don't know how "rare" or "special" some of these horses are, so I don't really know how much to charge for brood/sale. Please tell me if you are genuinley interested in any of them. They will put up for sale/brood through the "satin worship" and "open ice breeders" chats

    Pricing is all sort of personal preference of the buyers.

    I rarely buy outside horses but when I do I don’t mind spending 25-180k on a horse that has the right combination of genes and quality I’m looking for that is on par with my own personal breeding program. If it isn’t what I breed for I would pay 2,500-3000 Max because it’s just getting altered and thrown in my show barns which I can fill all on my own with 500hbs foals.

    I use all the free testing on all my horses no matter what gene they happened to get lucky enough to inherit, breed even generations together and cull on consistency

    So of the horses listed the only one I’d be interested in is Ditto Ice Jinx but he is still a bit uneven in his lines off the pedigree page and to fit into my breeding program and be actually picked to be used he would need a Dun gene as I breed Grullos and am in the process of culling my boys that are not EE DD

    My general rule of thumb for pricing is to determine what the maximum amount i myself would pay for them. I start them at the max price because it is something i would purchase myself and if no one has bought the horse after a week, i start to lower it a bit until the horse sells. If after a while there is still no interest i cut my loses, literally, by either snipping the horse and adding to my show string or throwing it in the auction.
