Testing waters: value of W8 foundation studs (4yrs, no foals)
-
I recently came back to the game after a long hiatus and got a bit carried away with the roving sales before I’d really nailed what I wanted to breed for. The upshot is I’ve got two W8 studs that don’t fit my plans. I’m not completely decided on whether to GMT them closer to my goals or sell them and start again. Depending on their value I might sell one to fund the GMT work on the other.
I’m after an idea of their likely value. If there’s interest I will likely do a forum auction but the economy on here has changed quite a bit since I last played and I’m way out of touch, I don’t want to start demanding mega money they’re not worth or to let them go for a pittance.
Both are exceptional producing foundations, both 4 years old and I yummed last yrs foals so they are still able to be changed via GMTs.

Any opinions? -
all rgs modified horses are almost guaranteed to give you a million hbs, depending if there is someone that likes that gene or not. Id personally love to buy one :)

Thanks, that’s useful to know. I need to run some sums and make a decision but if that’s the case I think it’s likely I’ll sell at least one of them.
