Advice/Opinions-Possible goal
-
I’ve fallen in love with white spotted silver blue roans. I love them! So Catch A Blue Moon has became my favorite RS/herd helper because I can just Gmt silver on. With that said, I was gifted snf on my favorite mare:
CABM Silver Bell Dapples
My first goal is to find the perfect stallion; a Warmblood white spotted silver blue roan without frame, and gmt snf on him. After that, eventually adding snf to all the foundation mares.
My end game goal: tallest gold/star white spotted silver blue roan Warmblood that’s hom snf. IM SO EXCITED!
Any thoughts or ideas on how I can better my plans?Aspen Farms #48077|Aspen Farms Exchange-Public Chat -
Id really like to remove this guys frame and add snf:
CABM Royal Nights
He would then become the only stud of my line until I expand.Aspen Farms #48077|Aspen Farms Exchange-Public Chat -
Silver Blue Roan is definately stunning :) It is really rare to have a homozygous white 2 foal, it often proves lethal. You will need to have mares without w2 as well to further your lines.ID #21047

Its less than 25% chance at getting a lethal from from two het W2. I have bred several. As long as you keep white factor down, you should be able to breed quite a few foals.#28036 -
And if you take the w2 off your main stud (and keep it out of future gen studs) that'll help even more in avoiding lethality. I generally keep all dangerous genes to mares only and I don't really have to worry about paying attention to lethality or white factor that way.ID 45703 | he/himOpen barn policy - no closed lines!
