I have this beautiful boy, B papered, testing score of 11.6 and consistent, his sire was A papered, but had a score of 11.5. His dad passed BA, but I’m worried test BA for this guy since I’m trying to breed for hom nex. Anyone have any advice?

Unless his sire is a low A and he's a high B, he won't pass :(

Yeah, unfortunately he likely won’t pass. Looking at his lineage, he’s got mainly A’s and Blue’s, with a star or two. He’s a definite step back in quality.

Bummer :( I’m terribly on the fence about it, would it be better to most likely geld my only two hom nexus males to potential better a future herd?

You could try buying a breeding boost token, see if that bumps him up high enough.

You were all right and he didn’t pass, but my only other hom nexus did pass! He’s not papered unfortunately, but hopefully in the future, he’ll be able to give me a good base to start off of!

@MariaChapinFarm3 , thank you! I’ll have to ask about it in the future, as of right now all my breedable mares have already bred this year, and I don’t have any upgrade either lol

I can open up my hom nexus stud for live cover and sell straws too. I also tend to give away a lot of his colts (2nd gen Bs or 2nd gen A's that don't get appy) and a lot of his fillies (2nd gen blues/reds without appy) but they'll always be het :)
