Stable Tattoos
-
This issue came up in a message with another player, and I wanted to put it on the table for discussion.
When I first started playing I sold a horse and the person I sold it to took off my stable tattoo. I asked about etiquette on the matter at the time, and I was told that you can do whatever you want with a horse you bought. So, you can do whatever you want.
That said, I make a point of tattooing every horse I put up for sale. I put a good deal of thought and effort into developing my foundations and my lines, and keeping my horses good quality, and gelding/spaying horses that aren't up to snuff. My breeding program is a source of pride and my stable brand is too, really. When I buy a horse I may pull off all of the line brands and generation brands and all that stuff, to replace with tattoos that help me keep track of things for my own barn, but I never remove a stable brand. It seems like courtesy to me for the reasons listed above. So of course, you're not required to leave my tattoo on horses you buy from me, but I did want to put this out there: I appreciate it when you do.
Just some food for thought, thanks for reading. :)Thanked by 1RoseFlute -
Very Good Info :-)Wish There Was A Mass Tattoo setting. Lol

I never remove stable brands because I figured that was just the right thing to do.
I have accidentally covered them up with my own a few times because my go to tattoo placement is the thigh. But at least its still there under tattoos if you're looking at the horse's page. -
We have plans for mass tack and tattoo stuff but it's been on the back burner with the baby and all.Need to contact me? Read this first. Only send me a PM for PayPal issues or if I ask you to. Otherwise, make a forum post. You will get a better faster answer by making a post.
