DP In Silver Blacks?
-
I want to say this fella has DP but I don't have GMTs to check and I really have no clue whom he could have gotten it from, he's only het sooty but he looks awfully dark to me... am I imagining it?

There is some variation in silver black, I think -- some look more grey, some have more brown to them. But I don't think it's necessarily an indication of DP.
This foal is pretty dark, but if you look at her parents, they're both the same sort of silvery color -- so if DP came from one of them, why aren't they also darker?

TLDR: I think there's just variation in shades of silver black. Maybe someone else knows more, though.Thanked by 1CeffylDwr -
Oooh! I just randomly clicked to see his parents and my chinchilla is the sire. It's nice to randomly catch a foal by him!Love,

I'd suggest rerolling his portrait a couple times to see if you can catch any difference in shade. I've had a couple brown-looking silver blacks before that absolutely did not have DP. Silver black is the one color I've really struggled seeing any difference to with DP.ID 45703 | he/himOpen barn policy - no closed lines!
