You are correct in that he's bay, the brown allele is just a different gentype of the bay gene. :)

He's homozygous At, which is always lighter than Ata. He's brown, not bay because he also has S+. I don't believe it's the S+ which causes the lightening.

If you compare other hom At, he is darker, but the S+ definitely gives more of a lighter "glow" to the stomach and neck compared to plain sooty. :)ID 45703 | he/himOpen barn policy - no closed lines!
