Is there a limited on breeding stallions

I put this stud in my primary pastor and bred him to about a hundred Mares. Now when I try to breed him, nothing happens. Is there a limit on how many times a stallion can breed per season?

I mean... it's 50 live breedings per month (game year) buuut, you can use as many of his straws beyond that, if you're able to use straws.Love,
